A tale of two martyrs.

Lt Umar Fayyaz and Maj DavidManlun

Both in their 20s. Both young bright and fearless. 

Isnt that what the IndianArmy is made up of?

But what sets them apart? 

Lt Fayyaz was abducted on the 10th May 2017 from his home while he was on leave attending a family function. His bullet ridden body was recovered after 2 days.

The nation condemned this killing and rightly so. No one deserves to die the way LtUmarFayyaz died. A million Candles were lit. A full course of  National Defense Academy organised a solidarity march in memory of the young officer. Eulogies were sung and the youngster all of 22 was declared a Martyr. A role model for all youngsters to follow. An example to be emulated

MORAL COURAGE - FD MARSHAL MANEKSHAW
