We made him lie down and having documented the paper for CPR few days earlier it was fresh on mind to activate the procedure. To our happiness in 25 seconds the heart beat started again and the person revived. He got

1.              While in service, we planned for all contingencies which might occur, whether in official or personal matters. However, after retirement many of us do not display the same meticulousness in our personal affairs. We feel that we still have plenty of time to go and will place our affairs in order In due course of time. When the unexpected happens, the NOK are left to clear an unimaginable tangle of legal and financial issues. It is obviously our responsibility towards our loved ones to organise our personal affairs, while we are still in good health, so that our NOK can receive assets as smoothly as possible. Some measures to ensure this are enumerated in succeeding paragraphs.

MESSIEST CHAPTER

Why one of the messiest chapters in Indian army history refuses to be closed

The defence ministry continues to back the current Army Chief, even though it means questioning the role of one of his predecessors, now a sitting minister.
                                                                   Saikat Datta
It is unprecedented in the annals of post-Independence India for a serving Army Chief to file an affidavit in the Supreme Court accusing a predecessor – or a serving minister – of impropriety.  In this case, it happens to be a predecessor and a serving minister.

GEETA - CRUX

The Lord said :

Whatever happened in the past, it happened for the good; Whatever is happening, is happening for the good; Whatever shall happen in the future, shall happen for the good only. Do not weep for the past, do not worry for the future, concentrate on your present life.

What did you bring at the time of birth, that you have lost? What did you produce,  which is destroyed? You didn't bring anything when you were born. Whatever you have, you have received it from the God only while on this earth. Whatever you will give, you will give it to the God. Everyone came in this world empty handed and shall go the same way. Everything belongs to God only.
Whatever belongs to you today, belonged to someone else earlier and shall belong to some one else in future. Change is the law of the universe.

You are an indestructible Soul & not a body. Body is composed of five elements - Earth, Fire, Water, Air and Sky; one day body shall perish in these elements.

UNDERSTANDING BALUCHISTHAN

Will India do a 1971 and get Independence to Baluchistan?

Mohammed Rafiq SethiI was born there.
Before I answer this question, let me describe Baluchistan. People here in Quora think that Baluchistan is also some territory that is similar to Bangladesh, i.e. it is teeming with millions of people who are tired of oppression from the center that is dominated by Punjabis. The Pakistani army is killing the Baluch people and their houses are being burned and destroyed, their women are being raped, the place is littered with bodies, and there are rivers of blood flowing. The schools are closed and the communication is cut off while the army and the police are killing dozens of people protesting for their rights. The Punjabis are stealing their natural resources and not giving anything back. The hospitals are full of the wounded and the orphanages don't know what to do with parent-less children. The neighboring countries have millions of Baluch refugees and Pakistan Air Force routinely bombs their camps in Iran and Afghanistan. Some Baluch are fleeing their homeland in boats and the Arabian Sea is full of boat people trying to land on the shores of Iran, Oman, Yemen and Somalia and even beyond. Human Rights groups are condemning the Pakistani atrocities and the United Nations security Council has kicked out Pakistan.

INDO-PAK GAME on BALUCHISTAN

Why PM Modi's Balochistan barb changes the India-Pakistan game

http://www.hindustantimes.com/analysis/why-pm-modi-s-statement-changes-the-india-pakistan-game/story-juWjrhi6g754R8nzhk9tUI.html?utm_source=LI&utm_medium=also-read

When Prime Minister Narendra Modi acknowledged the gratitude of the people of Balochistan , and Gilgit, and nodded at their struggles in his Independence Day speech on Monday, he ended a long period of shadow-boxing in India-Pakistan ties.

This is a game-changer, but its consequences are not clear just yet.

Modi's reference to Gilgit is significant but can be understood. There is an Indian parliamentary resolution that all of Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India. It is, as the strategic analyst Manoj Joshi noted, based on a simple principle - 'In a dispute, express your maximal position, rather than the one you will compromise on.' India has, in the past, responded to reports of the presence of Chinese soldiers and workers in the region. National security adviser Ajit Doval, in 2015, spoke of India's 106-km long border with Afghanistan - which was a reference to Gilgit-Baltistan border.

The real shift is Balochistan.

LOYAL DESCENDANTS - Part 1

The Loyal Descendants- Part 1
Almost every high-profile person in the Congress-Communist establishment is connected to each other whether it is in politics or bureaucracy or journalism.

The Loyal Descendants- Part 1 - http://postcard.news/loyal-descendants-series-part-one/

There is a mind-boggling web of interconnectedness that relates one journalist-historian-writer-politician-bureaucrat with another journalist-historian-writer-politician-bureaucrat.

Almost every high-profile person in the Congress-Communist establishment is connected to each other whether it is in politics or bureaucracy or journalism. Recent books by Kuldip Nayar, Tavleen Singh, and Sanjaya Baru also tells the same. Here is one set of sample:

THE THAPARS:

United Nations Security Council, 1950

Not at the Cost of China: India and the United Nations Security Council, 1950

1.  Over the years one has heard often that India was offered the to join the United Nations Security Council as a permanent member in the 1950s. But Prime Minister Nehru refused. But there was no historical evidence, it was all hearsay.

2.  Now the following paper clarifies the issue. I often wonder why is it that an American has to do this kind of research study, what about Indian scholars.

3.  One needs to read the complete paper to jump to any conclusion specially in today's environment.     --  Maj Gen PK Mallick

1962 INDIA CHINA WAR

1962 India China War Last Stand at Lagyala Gompa
In January 1989 a jeep carrying a lady was winding its way through Tawang. As it neared a bridge in Dirang the local people gathered around. The lady beckoned to a girl and asked her if she knew a place called Lagyala Gompa. The girl replied " Yes – we go there for our spring festival and worship and there is tiger's grave to which they offer flowers". The lady asked "Why they worshiped at the grave of a strange soldier". The girl replied "Wah sahib itna bara aadmi , itna bara Sher mara hai wahan, to kya hum puja nahin karein". The tiger was Lt. Col. Brahmanand Avasthy of 4th Rajput and the lady was Mrs Sushila Avasthy. In one of the last battles of the 1962 war, the men of 4th Rajput fought a valiant battle to the last man last bullet. This is their story.

FAUJI

Hip Hip Hurrah.....
Rather than wishing a simple Happy Independance Day in advance, lets know and be with THE man when celebrating -

The average age of the Army Man is 23 years.
He is a short haired, tight-muscled kid who, under normal circumstances is considered by society as half man, half boy.
Not yet dry behind the ears, not old enough to buy a beer in the capital of his country, but old enough to die for his country.

CIVIL & MIL PENSIONS By Ashok Singh

Indian politicians advised by bureaucrats have messed up India's internal and external environment. Just ponder at the insurgency in the Eastern states and terrorism in J&K. The troubled waters have been created by our politicians and Babus. Pakis are only fishing in them!! Nothing has been resolved/settled for decades!! The moment the military and to some extent para military forces bring some kind of normalcy, politicians suddenly become hyper active and start picking faults with actions of the military, make noises about curtailing their powers and so on. In some months, the law and order situation again goes out of hand and it is handed back to the military!!

The political leadership and bureaucrats hardly ever consult the military brass while formulating policies even in these troubled states.

BALOCHISTAN

India must stand by Balochistan in its struggle for freedom   -                                                      BY KANCHAN GUPTA
Most of us Indians do not know much about Balochistan, except that it is a province of Pakistan, like Punjab ans Sindh. The time has come for all of us to know more about this unfortunate region, which enjoyed the status of an independent nation barely for seven months!
Activists fighting for a cause, especially one that has a lot of popular emotion attached to it, are usually loud and shrill when holding forth in public.
They tend to be belligerent and turn excessively aggressive if their views are contradicted.

RELIGION - IS IT IRRELEVANT

                                                              **RELIGION **
Religion in itself is no longer reqd. It has outlived its usefulness for mankind. Time was when man was savage and might was right. Religions brought in moral codes and taught between right and wrong with the backing of divine laws.
But from the 18th century onwards, as nations and societies developed and civilisation progressed, constitutions were instituted which became sacrosanct in law. They cover all aspects of human behaviour and governance. They have clear guidelines on penalties and bring about equality in justice, establish liberties, authority and duties.

HAVAN - BACTERIA FREE HOME

'Havan' for bacteria-free homes: Study
PTI | Aug 17, 2009, 10.00AM IST

LUCKNOW: Want to lead a healthy life and free your home from bacteria? Perform 'havan' at regular intervals.
A study carried out by a team of scientists at National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI) here has claimed that smoke emitted during havans reduces airborne bacteria to a large extent, minimising possibility of infectious diseases.
"Burning wood and medicinal herbs, better known as 'havan samagri'(mixture of wood and odoriferous and medicinal herbs), can effectively reduce pathogens in the air," NBRI's senior scientist Chandra Shekhar Nautiyal said.

Muslim Writers: Islam To Blame For Global Terror
 MAD AL-RUB
by DEBORAH DANAN30 Jul 2016

TEL AVIV – In a radical turn of events, Muslim writers from across the Arab world are admitting that Islam itself is a problem, and the only way to curb the terror carried out in its name is to conduct a fundamental overhaul of Islamic texts and their interpretations.
Intellectuals from Saudi Arabia and Jordan to Egypt and Morocco are slamming Muslim leaders and clerics for ignoring the problems of Muslim society and dismissing terror attacks with faulty platitudes such as the oft-repeated, "Not in Islam's name."

SEXUAL TRIVIA

 Sexual trivia:

1. The first thing the "Father of Microbiology," Anton van Leeuwenhoek, put under a microscope was his semen. In 1677 van Leeuwenhoek examined fresh semen, in which he observed living spermatozoa. It was understood that semen was integral to the creation of life, but the concept of single-cell organisms hadn't been discovered yet. He expected to see tiny little humans.

2. Vibrator was invented for doctors who were getting carpel tunnel from using their fingers to give female patients orgasms in order to treat hysteria.

As I write this piece, Pokemon Go, the latest fad among mobile users is not yet officially launched in India. However, this does not mean that people are not playing this free-to-play location-based augmented reality game on their mobile handsets. We are not against anyone using their mobiles for other purposes than what the device was invented for. However, with augmented reality-type games, there is always a danger to the lives of the player as well as those of others.

A MISSED CALL TO KNOW YOUR BANK BALANCE, LAST TRANSACTIONS

A Missed Call To Know Your Bank Balance, Last Transactions
Often, we need to know the latest bank balance. For this we may log in through the net or go to the nearest ATM centre or call the branch. Some of us may be using phone-banking. But all these options are time-consuming, particularly, the phone-banking facility, where you have to press some numbers if you want to know something, and then another number for going to a particular menu and then giving PIN and then… and it continues! If you call the branch, the concerned staff member will ask you a few questions to know your identity. However, some banks do not entertain such requests over the telephone for security reasons.

RETIRED MILITARY PERSONNEL IN BUREAUCRATIC ROLES?

Time For Retired Military Personnel In Bureaucratic
Roles?
SNAPSHOT
A bureaucrat who doesn't wish to be named writes on why the time is right for the Modi government to initiate a two-fold reform in bureaucracy. One, administrative positions should be made open to retired military officers and two, experts should be brought in via lateral entry
The stunning victory of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in 2014 rested on its promise of reforming India, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has repeatedly committed himself to this objective.

NINE FOODS

9 Foods That Make You Hungrier

Always hungry? You may be eating the wrong foods

You weren't all that hungry before your handful of chips or midday banana. But instead of tiding you over to your next meal, you are ravenous. What gives?
No nutrition scientist would ever make this analogy, but think of it like sex. If you're attracted to someone, a kiss is only going to fan the flames of your desire. In the same way, a few bites of food can "activate" the parts of your brain and gut that drive your hunger for more, says Dr. Belinda Lennerz, an endocrinologist and researcher at Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
"The sight, smell, or taste of some food will trigger the cephalic food response," she explains, referring to the various gut processes that switch on when your body believes a meal is headed its way. At the same time, swallowing a few bites of food initiates a desire to consume more in order to repeat or sustain the reward sensations your brain experienced when you ate those chips or that banana.
The fact is, eating a small portion of anything—especially if you're close to a mealtime—is probably going to goose your appetite, not mellow it out. But Lennerz and other experts say some foods are more likely than others to crank up those "give me more" cravings.

KASHMIR - EDUCATION STATUS

I hope the Army in Kashmir can propagate this because I don't visualize the politicians doing this as can be evident from the situation till now. The politicians and the media is only carrying out blame game.

MEDIA CROOKS - REPRODUCED

 Barkha Falls Deeper
For a long time, though NDTV's reporting was dubious no one could say anything as Prannoy, Barkha and Rajdeep had become stars. Arnab then was left to anchor smaller shows by StarNews/NDTV. As it went on I instinctively knew there is something wrong with the channel and its reporters. They weren't merely critcising the ABV govt, they were running a campaign against it. Even that seemed fine. On a different note to being with - bear in mind, all the members of the Commie-media mafia routinely get awards of some kind by rotation. Arnab is the only one that doesn't get such awards despite having the highest popular viewership.

KASHMIR - UNKNOWN & DISTORTED FACTS

*KASHMIR THE UNKNOWN DISTORTED FACTS*
*Separatism: Hype vs the truth*
1. Separatist control only 5 districts = 15% of Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh and they are all *Sunni Muslims*.
2. The Shiais, Sufis, Hindus, Buddhists and Christians are not separatists.
3. Two of the three regions of J&K are not Muslim majority areas. 85,000 square kilometers are not. When you talk of separatism, there havent been any protests against India in this 85 per cent area till date.
4. Theres only one section of communityKashmiri-speaking Sunni Muslims who have a separatist agenda. When you see a TV debate on Kashmir, who do you see? Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, Yasin Malik, Shabbir Shah, Gilani, Asiya Andrabi, and Lone. All Sunni Muslims from these 5 districts out of 22!!
