WOMEN IN COMBAT - US DISASTER

"Women in the Combat Arms: The Greatest Disaster in US Military History"
 FEBRUARY 1, 2017  - POSTED ON JUNE 4, 2016 BY RAY STARMANN
Operation You Go Girl is destined to fail; failure defined not as a NO GO, or an F, but as the Nation's young women flown home in flag draped Glad Bags when the Nation loses the next war(s).
When this happens, the Hollywood producers, the feminists and the cultural Marxists who were responsible for forcing the nation's women to experience the horrors of ground combat will scratch their heads and wonder why reality is so much different from their imaginary ideas of women in combat.

TEEVRA CHAUKAS - MEANING

TEEVRA CHAUKAS :  RIGHT PERSPECTIVE
Lt Col HS Bhandari (Retd)     Editor  “THE SIGNALMAN”
The motto of Royal Signals was (and still is) Certa  Cito, often translated from Latin as Swift and Sure (not secure!). When the Indian Signal Corps was formed its motto became Tez-o-Sahih. After we wanted to make it into the Sanskritised Hindi, its adoption was Teevra Chaukas (in 1949). ‘Tez’ became ‘teevra’ and ‘chaukas’ substituted for ‘sahih’. Google Hindi Shabdkosh also defines ‘chaukas’ as ‘durust’. ‘Chaaron ore se achhchhi tarah kasa hua (चारों ओर’ से अच्छी तरह कसा हुआ) is how chaukas has been defined elsewhere. It amounts to saying that our systems should be secure, but chaukas is definitely not alert or chaukanna, as most perceive but unfailing,  fit and tight from all four sides/directions.

Military no longer a right choice today: Ex-Army chief Ved Prakash Malik
By PTI | Updated: Nov 04, 2016, 11.08 PM IST
"By taking away its pride, status and making career unattractive, the military is no longer a right choice today, which I believe is neither good for military nor for the nation."

CANACONA: Amid the ongoing debate over the implementation of One Rank One Pension (OROP), former Chief of Army Staff Gen Ved Prakash Malik, said militaryis "no longer a right choice" today.

"Throughout my service, I have always believed that the man behind the gun is more important. We have to look after the man behind the gun. There has been a static erosion of soldiers' status within the government and in society also," Malik said during a plenary session at the "India Ideas Conclave" which kicked off here today.

A hilarious account of life in South Delhi - by a retired IAS officer.

South Delhi is where most of Delhi's multi millionaires live and where the least amount of Income Tax is collected. Its residents, therefore, are naturally in a mood to celebrate all the time by throwing dinner parties with all these tax savings. Now, I don't get invited very often because I'm an ardent Kejriwal supporter and – let's face it – millionaires consider him a pustule on the backside of history. But my wife is more politically correct and better connected through her Facebook account so I do manage to slink into a dinner or two occasionally. I have found the experience fascinating.

AVTAAR - DARWIN

"Mom, I am a genetic scientist. I am working in the US on the evolution of man. Theory of evolution, Charles Darwin, have you heard of him? " Vasu asked.
His Mother sat down next to him and smiled, "I know about Darwin, Vasu.
"But Have you heard of Dashavatar? The ten avatars of Vishnu?" Vasu replied in no.
"Then let me tell you what you and Mr. Darwin don't know.
Listen carefully- The first avatar was the Matsya avatar, it means the fish. That is because life began in the water. Is that not right?" Vasu began to listen with a little more attention.
"Then came the Kurma Avatar, which means the tortoise, because life moved from the water to the land. The amphibian. So the Tortoise denoted the evolution from sea to land.
Third was the Varaha, the wild boar, which meant the wild animals with not much intellect, you call them the Dinosaurs, correct? " Vasu nodded wide eyed.

THREE PIECES OF ADVICE

"3 Pieces of Advice vs 20 Years of Salary"
A very poor newly wedded, young couple lived in a small farm. One day the husband made the following proposal to his wife:
- Honey, I will leave the house: I will travel faraway, get a job and work hard in order to come back and give you the comfortable life that you deserve. I do not know how long I will stay away, I only ask one thing, please wait for me, and while I am away, you should be faithful to me, because I will be faithful to you.
So the young man left. He walked many days until he found a farmer who was in need of someone to help him. The young man offered his services. He was accepted. Therefore he discussed the terms with his boss:

WE NEED TO - AWSOME PEOPLE 1940-70

We, the people born between 1940-1960...are the blessed ones...
We are the awesome people... Our life is a living proof..........
👉We were never treated like  a pack of animals to carry our books to school.
👉While playing and riding bicycle, we never bothered to wear helmets.
👉After school time we played until its dusk but never watched t-world (TV) by locking up ourselves in a room.
👉We played only with our real friends, not with NET friends.

👉 If we ever felt thirsty, we used to drink tap water but never searched for bottled water.

👉We never got ill even after sharing the same juice with four friends.

👉We never put on weight even after eating plate full of sweets and rice everyday.

👉Nothing happened to our feet even after roaming bare foot.
👉We never used any health supplements to keep ourselves healthy.

👉We used to create our own toys and play with them.

👉Our parents were not rich, they never ran behind money and wealth. They just searched for and gave only love.. not any worldly material.

👉We never had cellphones, DVDs, Play stations, XBoxes, video games, Personal computers, internet, chat but we had many real friends.
👉We used to visit our friend's home uncalled and enjoyed food with them. We never had to call them and ask their permission to visit their home.

👉Relatives were near to us so our hearts and souls were happy. Hence we never required any insurance policy.

UNDERSTANDING BUREAUCRACY

*Understanding KB Lal and Bureaucracy*
_by Alex Thomas -
Please bear with a *brick-by-brick account of how the Army was walled in leading to this explosive reaction, with the spark lit by a political promise by a PM-designate in 2014*.
Post 1971 war, the nation was euphoric. Our countrymen were lauding the Indian Armed Forces for a spectacular victory that had *changed the geography of the sub-continent*. The nation was savouring the victory and *more than 97,368 prisoners* were in our Prisoners of War Camps. It was the *second largest surrender* in the Military History; second only to the surrender of Gen Von Paulus, German 6th Army at Stalingrad in the Second
World War. The Armed Forces were feted everywhere for its courage and people were convinced that it was one instrument that would never let the country down.

IM RIGHT

There were two houses standing next to each other. In one of them resided a very unhappy family. The spouses yelled at each other, they fought and quarreled all the time. The other was a place of happiness and calm.
During one of the fights a wife asked her husband:
"Did you ever hear them quarrel or yell over at that house? No!
So, go there and see what they do to avoid it!"
The husband stood at the window of his neighbors and watched. There they were busy doing their own thing. The wife was in the kitchen cooking, and the man sat at the table writing. The phone rang, and the man jumped up and headed to the hallway to get it.
On his way he bumped into a vase, it fell and broke. He got down to his knees and started picking up the pieces. The wife ran into the room from the kitchen. She also kneeled down and started helping her husband to pick them up.
The man said to his wife:

HURDLES

This post is bit long, It's important, please bear with me
This post is real, personal, nothing hidden, no hearsay.
PM has been harping on E Governance as if it is an Aladdin Ka Chirag, it is just a tool, if the handler is Indian bureaucrat, this tool becomes completely redundant; I don't go crazy hearing the rhetoric, I only believe in action.
PM proposes and bureaucrats dispose of. Whatever promises, speeches our leaders give, their implementation gets stonewalled with Government machinery that is moth eaten; unless our bureaucrats change, nothing will change.

FAUJI DAUGHTER

I AM THE DAUGHTER OF AN ARMY OFFICER

https://medium.com/@meeraramesh/i-am-the-daughter-of-an-army-officer-93321193f274#.22wonxxa9

I am the daughter of an Army Officer. I was born privileged and I am aware of it. Yes, I grew up in safe cantonments, amidst greenery and civility. As a child I had access to beautiful swimming pools and large lawns. I had access to tennis courts and skating rings. I could go to fantastic libraries and attend wonderful socials. In short, I had a childhood that people only dream of. Every two or three years, we would move to a new city and I made new friends. I was encouraged to take part in sports and extra-curricular activities. I was always surrounded by children of my age and most neighbors had very amicable pets. As a family, we had access to ‘canteens’ and military hospitals. For vacations, we would go trekking to remote corners of the country because of the privilege my father’s profession offered us. When children of my age were playing hide and seek, my sister and I were exploring activities like tank riding and rifle shooting; paragliding and horse riding. While they watched series on TV, we would be out on the ground watching the Army Day parade.

On April 3, 2013, Field Marshal S H F J 'Sam' Manekshaw would have turned 100. He passed away five years before his centenary.

VETERANS - ORGANISATIONAL BONDING

Veterans And Organisational Bonding: A Unique Blessing

Maj Gen Mrinal Suman
The day we joined the academy, we were told to take pride in the fact that we had opted for the noblest profession in the world – the profession of arms that ensures security of our country. We were also counselled that soldiering was a package deal with its minuses and pluses. The minuses exist due to the exigencies of service (threat to life, hardships, frequent transfers, separations and so on) and these have to be endured. However, the pluses outweigh the minuses by a huge margin: organisational cohesion being the most crucial one as it facilitates development of life-long bonds, both social and emotional.

GREAT STORY

A great story with a moral
But the pear would not go down my throat....
Author unknown....
It was the summer of 67 I was all of sixteen years old, had just finished my schooling from a prestigious boarding school and was on a sabbatical working out what to do with my life. My father was a colonel in the army and had a year to go before retirement. We were living in a comfortable government bungalow in Ajmer but as far as material luxuries go, we didn't have much; no car, no scooter and no refrigerator either – the status symbols of those days. Television had not yet spread its wings in the country and a small transistor radio was our means of keeping in touch with the rest of the world. We however, felt no sense of deprivation and the lack of amenities perhaps spurred our innate abilities to keep ourselves occupied in more meaningful ways.

2) The farm was used to produce produce.
3) The dump was so full that it had to refuse more refuse.
4) We must polish the Polish furniture..
5) He could lead if he would get the lead out.
6) The soldier decided to desert his dessert in the desert..
7) Since there is no time like the present, he thought it was time to present the present.

FUTURE PREDICTIONS

FUTURE PREDICTIONS:
In 1998, Kodak had 170,000 employees and sold 85% of all photo paper worldwide.  Within just a few years, their business model disappeared and they went bankrupt. What happened to Kodak will happen in a lot of industries in the next 10 years - and most people don't see it coming. Did you think in 1998 that 3 years later you would never take pictures on paper film again? Yet digital cameras were invented in 1975. The first ones only had 10,000 pixels, but followed Moore's law. So as with all exponential technologies, it was a disappointment for a long time, before it became way superior and got mainstream in only a few short years. It will now happen with Artificial Intelligence, health, autonomous and electric cars, education, 3D printing, agriculture and jobs. Welcome to the 4th Industrial Revolution. Welcome to the Exponential Age.
Software will disrupt most traditional industries in the next 5-10 years.

THE FOLLY OF AHIMSHA

LALA LAJPAT RAI'S COMMENT ON THE FOLLY OF AHIMSHA
 http://indiafacts.org/cow-protection-mahatma-gandhi-appeasing-muslims-bullying-dalits/
Gandhi proclaims the cow to be more of a mother to a Hindu than his biological mother, that cow-slaughter is equivalent to man-slaughter, yet he wants the Hindu to merely supplicate to save the mother-cow from slaughter. This, then, was the essence of his Ahimsa – enervating of the Hindus. The absurdity of the Gandhian Ahimsa, or any other form of ahimsa taken to an extreme, has been best articulated by Lala Lajpat Rai, who had himself hailed from a Jain family (Jainism upheld Ahimsa as its very essence):
